As the sun sets over the Rocky Mountains . . .
. . . the smooth, soulful sound of rhythmic music wafts through the streets of Denver. It could be coming from that club down the street or from a park nearby, or maybe it just lives in the air. It is music with a rich cultural heritage whether it is Latin rock, soul or funk, and it is played by the band Abraxas with respect and great attention to detail. Ten of the most talented musicians in Colorado, who have arrived here from diverse backgrounds and locations, come together dedicated to faithfully reproducing these songs that are so loved by generations of music listeners. Yet, they do so while expressing their own personalities in the process. True, Abraxas is a tribute to Santana, but it is also so much more, and any music that is meant to move people physically and spiritually might be heard at one of their performances. This is music that cannot be heard without being felt, and no one feels it more than Abraxas.
